CPA (Cost Per Action)
CPA (Cost Per Action) is a payment model per target action: a deposit, signup or lead. In gambling and betting CPA usually means payment for the first deposit (FTD).
What counts as an action
The advertiser defines the action: deposit, signup, lead, confirmed order. Price and difficulty follow it: the closer the action is to money (a deposit), the higher the payout.
CPA in a PWA funnel
The offer pays on CPA while you buy traffic on CPI. Profit is the gap between the action payout and acquisition cost. A postback records the action and ties it to the click by subid.
FAQ
- Are CPA and CPI the same?
- No: CPI is per install, CPA per target action (deposit/signup). An install does not guarantee an action, so the models differ.
- What is usually paid on CPA in gambling?
- The first deposit (FTD). Less often signup or a CPA + RevShare hybrid.
- How do I count CPA profit?
- Action payout minus acquisition cost (the CPI sum for the installs needed per action) minus domain and service costs.
