A deposit is a user funding their account. In gambling and betting it is the main target event; the deposit postback is set up first.
Deposits and repeat deposits
The first funding is FTD, later ones are repeat deposits. Repeat deposits are pulled by push: they bring money with no new traffic buy and raise LTV.
Deposit in attribution
A deposit is recorded by postback via the click id and sent to the tracker and pixel. Correct mapping (deposit → Purchase) lets FB optimize the buy for payers.
